About Us
Ruxville Farm is a 130 year old, 25 acre homestead in central Virginia where we raise Merino sheep and produce handwoven garments and gifts made from their wool. The shepherd is also the weaver, the dyer, the ovine midwife, the seamstress , the knitter and chief water trough scrubber.. Our hands are in the wool from the time the lambs are born until the sale of the finished products.
We welcome visitors to the farm to meet the sheep, see the looms in action, and shop for that special something. You can also see our sheep and products at the various fairs and festivals we attend. Keep up with happenings on our Facebook page. We accept PayPal, Venmo, cash, or check for any transactions. You may notice there is no “shopping cart” on this site. Most of the products are one-of-a-kind and so it would be impossible to list them all here. I am happy to send digital photos, physical samples, or spend some time on Zoom if there is something you want to see and you can’t get to us.
